“Google (https://cloud.google.com/gov) and Azure (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/solutions/government) also provide said services”
Exactly. I use this stuff at work, but why would I ever risk this for my own stuff ?

They switched from post paid billing with shitty delayed caps to prepaid but the prepaid expires after a year…

“most good cloud consultants ask their clients to stay away from GCP”
> As a former GCP consultant, I can share that these sort of shut downs aren't random and it's usually due to the customer not being compliant - that breaks cloud compliance requirements for the big clouds, so automated systems flag it. Eg. Someone serving CP on their CDN, for instance. If this was the case it would obviously be horrific. I did check to see, and I noticed that Railway is not listed as an ESP who sent

I believe the problem was always the process that Google has where they tend to want to automate everything from the start and make it very difficult to reach a human and explain the situation. The service itself seems solid but if you make it difficult to address any problems when(not if) they occur then I won't be comfortable doing business with you. I stay away from their services for anything serious for this rea
